The Whitegate Way, a former rail line stretches for 6miles (10km) from Winsford to Cuddington and is a multi-user route. There are several restricted byways and permissive routes which allow horse riders to ride some circular routes too as shown on the leaflet below. Free parking for horse boxes is available at Whitegate Station car park, Clay Lane, Winsford. CW7 2QE where there is also toilets and a community café.

 

A new Mounting Block was officially opened on The Whitegate Way in August 2025 at the Whitegate Station car park.  It is a result of a collaboration between MCBA and Cheshire West and Chester Council, with funding for the block from the BHS Access fund and MCBA, with the base funded and installed by Cheshire West and Chester Council.
